*I AM MOre* project

It all started when...

I realized the amazing women in my life. Women that are more than what meets the eye. So easily we are boxed into an ideal. We must break this pattern and reveal the dimensions of ourselves that make us great.I asked a few of them to come together and tell me how they were "more". The result, with the help of Ashley Cox of Nine23Boudoir was an epic photo shoot, and life changing experience.

This is just the beginning of I AM MORE. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing the names of the women below, and telling their stories, in their words. Read their stories. Relate to their experiences. Then, write to me and tell me how you are MORE, for a chance to be featured on the blog and other platforms!

In her own words:

I am a daughter, sister, lover and friend. My most joyous moments typically include crying from laughter as me and my best friend pretend we're kid n play at the club....road tripping with my family, or acting like a hippie at a music festival. I've been blessed to have a strong career and I've worked damn hard to get where I'm at. But while I may work to live, I live to connect with the beautiful spirits I encounter. I live to express my creativity. I live to experience happiness in its most simple forms. I am More. I am Martina. -xo

In her own words:

I believe there are so many misconceptions as a woman entrepreneur but especially in the culinary field. The food industry is fast-paced, long hours & ever-changing. As a woman in the industry, I'm always proving myself as more than just a "good cook" and exuding my skills in business outside of the kitchen. In small business you wear many hats professionally & personally from marketing director, photographer, event coordinator to soon to be step-mom, daughter, and fiancé. All these roles are difficult to keep up with but I find the challenge of juggling them a blessing not a curse. I am More. I am Whitney. -xo

In her own words:

I always been told I have "such beautiful eyes", or a "great smile". Don't get me wrong, it's a nice compliment, but I can't help to point out what this leaves out. I am sexy, proud of my curves, and blessed to be an inspiration to other women who struggle. Yes, I smile a lot...there's a lot to be thankful for in life, but I'm not always happy. I have bad days and cry too, because bad sh*t happens and sometimes it's hard to deal. Respect that I am complex, eclectic and human. I am More. I am Sierra.-xo

In her own words:

I am more than my tattoos. My skin does not define me, my looks do not rule me. Behind my colorful skin there is knowledge, emotions, strength and love. My tattoos tell a story of my travels and of certain times in my life, they are memories, good and bad. Tattoos are simply a part of me. I am More. I am Ashlee.-xo

In her own words:

Telling someone your goals and dreams seems an open invitation for them to immediately order your steps, or to unrequitedly remind you of past goals that did not come to fruition. No two people have the same path or destiny. Know that my dreams are deferred, not denied or derailed. Allow me to be more than what you see or assume. I am More. I am Raquel.-xo

How are you "More"?
