Revent Review

Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the Revent Gala, an evening dedicated to continuing the amazing efforts of the Indiana Recycling Coalition (IRC) who protects our planet by reminding us to recycle! This annual event was held in a gym, transformed into a banquet hall, giving the space a chic feel. Talk about repurposing a space! I have to tell you, I had a blast! From the silent auction (featuring cool experiences and wine giveaways- gotta have that) to hors d oeuvres that were to die for (plus more wine), the evening was off to a great start...and of course, I came dressed to impress. My hubby accompanied me there...oh..and it was his birthday! Doesn't he look dashing :)

Flirty and girly, I wore this sparkly number I picked up at Maurices for...ready...$17!!! Can you believe it?! The silhouette was great for my body type (apple shaped) and was just plain fun! Let's be honest, any time you get to wear tulle as an adult...life is good.

Renew. Reuse. Recycle. #Revent2016

I was honored to be chosen as one of the two official bloggers for the event. I even got to judge their fashion show! Men and women alike showed up in either vintage or *renewed* looks for us to judge. They really brought it! So many amazing stories and great looks. Innovative to say the least! many people collected items from all over. Though we had to pick a winner for each category. Here are a few pictures of us announcing the winners, and a group shot of all contestants.

What a great night at #revent2016!  Can't wait for next year!

Visit the IRC website for more info about getting involved. Thanks to Rachel Morris and the entire IRC team for hosting us!
