Leather Works Series 2- Girl on the Town

Be daring, be different, be impractical... be anything that will insert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary

Hello Kurvy Loves! It's Week 2 of the Leather Works Series on the blog! Remember to check back every Monday over the next few weeks to see how I incorporate leather into a look for the Fall. Today's inspo: Girl on the Town. Missed last week? No worries,  you can catch up here.

When I think of the Girl on the Town, she is confident, sexy, sassy and outgoing. She feels great in her own skin and owns her curves. She's out and about, sashaying into stores, picking up a new outfit and having drinks with her girlfriends. What do you think about this description? Does it fit your idea of a curvy goddess?

Clearly I was feeling this look! Keeping all the above characteristics in mind, I went for a easy to re-create look using textured leather. This pleated faux-leather skirt is very on-trend and won't break the budget (yay). Lucky enough, I found this great top at a consignment shop for $10. The added detail of studded shoulders and a faux leather pocket kept the look pulled together and gave it a little edge. Patent leather heels with any outfit can be lethal baby...but with this look...watch out...lol

Mixing cool tones with warm metals is a new obsession of mine. It challenges the ordinary.

How do you challenge the ordinary?Did I nail this *girl on the town* look?  Let me hear you below!

Enjoy today!
