How I found My Style in LuLaRoe

LuLaRoe isn't just for Mom's that love buttery soft leggings, though that is a perk :). Recently, I teamed up with fellow fashionista, Gina Melvin, who runs her own LuLaRoe business, to try my hand at styling a few pieces for us curvy girls. That's right- LuLaRoe caters to plus size women as well, making it a size inclusive brand I was down with trying. Now, if you are familiar with LuLaRoe, you know they are know for crazy prints. I love a print just as much as the next girl, but have to admit styling these pieces felt a little intimidating for the average babe. As I shared my feelings towards this on Gina's intake questionnaire (designed to get to know you and your style), I was pleasantly surprised to see the options she presented me to choose from. As we continue through the article, I am going to break down how I styled each piece, and how I feel about the fit and material.

First up, the Classic T.

I'm loving this tee! The color was perfect for transitioning from Summer to Fall. I chose to color block with a bright teal skirt from Society+ and the end result was so chic! I'm normally not much of a tee girl, but the fabric is undeniable. So soft and lightweight, it really is a dressier t-shirt. To make it appropriate for the skirt- I tucked it in, showing off my smaller waistline. It does have a hi-low hemline, so it fits all body types really well. The scoop neck is also a great addition, sitting a little lower and showing off just the right amount of skin.

Okay, so first item got me a little excited...and then I tried on this dress. Ladies, I give you...the Carly.

I just love the blue color of this dress. It's normally a hi-lo, but I tied it in the front just to give it a little personality. The Carly goes up to a 3x, and has a cute little pocket at the top. Now, I was excited to see LuLaRoe has solid options! A simple cotton dress like this is perfect for layering, so I added this faux leather vest for texture and a little edge. Pattern tights and velvet boots finished the look!

It's no surprise I love skirts and dresses, so I was super excited to try out the Madison skirt. I've worn this skirt the most! On my Instagram, I showed a great #ootd featuring it with a completely different vibe. I'm loving that I can switch up my style with these pieces! Here I added a fellow blogger boo's graphic tee and paired it with a long cardigan for cooler evenings. I could have also added a jean jacket, or button down blouse for work. Main styling tip: Mix the pieces with other items in your wardrobe to blend your style and stay current.

Final verdict: it's easy to see how people fall in love with LuLaRoe. With a variety of products (even for MEN and CHILDREN), everyone can be taken care of on your Christmas list. Contact Gina today and join her Facebook group to get the inside scoop on her sales! She's also pretty amazing...so join for that alone.

What do you think? Did I break the stigma of what you thought was LuLaRoe? Let me know in the comments below!

Enjoy today!
