Transition Florals: Yes, it's a Real Thing

TGIF! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for this weekend. I'm a little bummed that I'm missing NYFW this year, but I'll be living vicariously through all my blogger boos this weekend just the same :)

Since I couldn't make it to Fashion Week, I decided to have my own Fashion Show, and show you guys how I rock florals this close to Fall. (Insert hip roll here).

Many women I've worked with when styling, or through conversations about the blog have been hesitant to wear florals this late in the season. I've heard everything from not being sure about the color palette to concern about the actual flower size as reasons to shy away from continuing to embrace this trend in Fall. Never fear! I'm going to help you through that!

What you are looking for during this in-between time; where it feels like Fall in the mornings, and Summer in the afternoons- is a transition floral.

What's that?

Transition florals are floral patterns and a color palette that has enough of both light and dark tones to fit the current season and upcoming season. Think hunter green meets hot pink....like in this fab maxi I'm rocking. Perfect for Summer, but getting some time this Fall too!

What about sleeve lengths? Necklines? Hemlines?

That's the beauty of the transition floral. It's perfectly fine to wear a maxi dress during the Fall. Just trade sandals for boots! Low-cut? Sleeveless? Add a denim jacket! You still get to wear the necklines of Summer well into Fall, just with a little modification.

Now that we've discussed, how comfortable are you wearing transition florals now? I hope you'll embrace this trend! Have a great weekend!
