Geometric Office Chic
Good day fellow beauties! Today's look is brought to you by Eloquii, one of my favorite online brands. I can't tell you how much love their fabrics and prints. This geometric number is so comfortable and made me feel like a BOSS. It's a sleeveless shift dress, so I added a black crew neck tee underneath, making it perfect for my cold office in the mornings. As I sit here writing this post, I have to confess, I was nervous to post this one at first. You see, I love this dress (I mean LOVE), but in the past, I would have felt like it was too tight around my belly and I couldn't possibly pull it off. But this time, I put all those insecurities behind me. I reminded myself that the only opinion that mattered was my own, and I loved who I was so *eff* it if someone disagreed! As a curvy woman, I have lived the struggle of shopping for my body type, and 99% of the time, I stick to that rule of thumb. Sometimes though- that perfect dress, print, material, color, etc. just isn't in what society would have us believing is our "body type", and we walk away from buying clothing that would make our personalities SHINE. Not today! These pictures represent a milestone for me. I am focusing on what makes me happy because honey child, (in my best southern churchy grandma voice), when you feel good, you LOOK good!
