Skirting Around Town

Completely unintentional...but yes, I TOTALLY coordinate with this little house. BOOM.

Hello! How's life? Pretty good here. I woke up, was able to eat Le Peep's pancakes for breakfast, and had my beloved bacon so I really can't complain. Getting back on topic, I thought it would be cool to show you my little neighborhood! Well, part of it...and when I say part of it, I mean one street that's downtown, but you get the idea....hey, I'm sharing! I won't be talking about the background much, but this is where I live. Enjoy the scenery!

I didn't realize how color coordinated I would be for this post, but I ain't mad y'all! I have always loved midi skirts (a little higher than tea length, usually falling mid to upper calf). Side style note: A true tea length skirt would hit the bottom of the calf, usually only 4 inches from the floor...just an fyi. This midi skirt I picked up from Eloquii is the bomb. I love that I can wear it super dressy or completely casual. I went for in-between with this look, adding a great jacket from Old Navy ($35 bucks!) and flower print heels I snagged at DSW. The goal here was to mix prints, but let them be the accents, not overshadowing. The skirt color is my linking platform, as you see it in the jacket and shoes.

I never really wear navy, but have been intrigued by the idea of doing a nautical themed look. This is as close as I will ever get and I think I did it justice! I even threw in a vintage necklace and red cami to seal the deal!

Wouldn't you love to read that I styled this entire look for under $100! Yep! That's including shoes! Like I always say, you don't have to break the bank to look FAB! Always look for deals! Here's a closer look at my key pieces styled around this midi to bring it to life:
