Saturdays are for GIRL TIME! As a long time resident of Carmel, I love to get out in the community. When I had the opportunity to explore more of Hamilton County, I jumped on it. I called one of my blogger besties, Katy of Indy with Kids to come to hang and join the fun. From tea time to dining with a little shopping in between, we did it all. Follow our guide to an Epic Girl's Day Out right here in Hamilton County!

First Stop: Tina's Traditional Tearoom for a Queen's Royal High Tea

To add a layer of mystery, I only told Katy about the first place we were going, so she met me at Tina's Traditional Tearoom. Of course, we wore big hats and sundresses to get in the afternoon tea vibe. Excitedly, we were both first timers at Tina's. A little background below:

Tina's Traditional Tearoom opened in Carmel in 2014 and is a true English tearoom. With over 20 quality loose leaf teas and a range of jams and preserves based on Tina's grandmother's recipes, the experience is one to remember. If it's your first time, I highly recommend the High Tea, so you can get a true feel of the tradition that makes Tina's so special. Here's what to expect.

  • A great tea to share if you agree with your dining partner, or one for each of you. You will get about 2-3 cups out of the teapot.
  • An array of delish treats from traditional finger sandwiches to English pastries.
  • A little history to make the day sweeter; did you know you can't get real clotted cream here in the United States? Tina's imports it in from the UK. I love a great exclusive :).

Shopping: R4 Galleria  Carmel, IN

Next, head across the street to R4 Galleria, a cute and kitschy shop located on Main Street in Carmel. There's a little something for everyone in this place. We spotted unique artisan pasta, "blue jean" scented candles, and sassy inspirational signs. Perfect spot to stop on an epic girl's day shopping trip! Make sure to visit their store in French Lick too!

Shopping: Bath Junkie Carmel, IN

No epic girl's day is complete without a trip to the spa, or to buy spa items! Pampering yourself every once and awhile is essential for mental health. Now, remember that when you walk into Bath Junkie; a custom handmade bath and body studio located in Carmel. With over 100 Bath Junkie fragrances to choose from, you'll want to create so any aromatic lotions, shampoos, and oils that your head might spin. Luckily, the team will help you choose favorite scents, types of body care and colors you'll want to add to your finished product. Ours are pictured below, with a close up of one of my scent creations!

Definitely a highlight of the day- plan on spending anywhere from 30min to an hour falling in love with this store! Bonus: They'll store your faves in the computer system so you don't have to remember them on your next visit, or if someone wants to get you a gift (hint, hint husbands). Lastly, it's only a 5-minute drive from Main Street, making it the perfect next stop on your girl's day list.

Food: Rail Epicurean Westfield, IN

All of this shopping works up one heck of an appetite! Head up the road about 10 minutes to Westfield, IN for an unforgettable experience at Rail Epicurean. A re-imagined big red barn turned culinary heaven. Okay, so I'm no foodie blogger, but I love a great savory meal. Try the chicken salad on toasted challah bread...thank me later. Katy even took an extra chicken salad sandwich to go....it's that good

Wine: Urban Vines Westfield, IN

What a day you've had, girlfriend! Finish off your epic girl's day with a relaxing trip to Urban Vines, a hip winery out in Westfield, IN. As Katy put it, if you blink, you'll miss it. A winery and brewery that opened in Spring 2017; Urban Vines has a more unique atmosphere than most wineries in the area. With a grand patio, 2 stages for live music and a playground for the kids, you can let your hair down without needing a sitter! Yay Moms! We did a little wine tasting ($5), but then we noticed the wine slushies in the background. Enough said. Add this place to your list of *must-dos* when traveling through Hamilton County! Cheers!

We had a blast exploring all that Hamilton County has to offer last weekend. Special THANK YOU to Visit Hamilton County for an amazing day!
